Through extensive research and collaboration with talented wedding professionals in Arkansas and Italy, we planned and designed this experience with intention. Then, we photographed every detail to bring it to life. We called it The Italy Wedding Weekend Experience: An Editorial.
This Italy wedding weekend editorial showcases what it truly feels like to gather your favorite people in one of the most romantic places on earth. More importantly, it captures the emotion behind celebrating love through immersive, shared experience.

The Engagements: Florence
The first stop on our itinerary brought us to Florence, the capital of Tuscany. From the moment we arrived, the city set the tone for the entire weekend. After all, Florence is steeped in romantic charm and home to Renaissance masterpieces like Michelangelo’s David.
Couples can linger in quaint coffee shops. They can wander through world-class museums. Or they can stand in awe beneath the Duomo in the heart of the city. Because of this timeless beauty, Florence became the perfect place to begin our Italy wedding weekend editorial.

The Italy Wedding Weekend Editorial at Villa Montecastello

Private Cooking Class
Next, we ventured deeper into the countryside to Villa Montecastello, a 1,000-year-old property nestled among the rolling Tuscan vineyards. The owners greeted us warmly, and almost immediately, we began a private pasta cooking class. We used ingredients sourced directly from the estate. In addition, we sampled olive oil pressed from olives grown on the surrounding land.
Later, the instructor stepped in to finish preparing the meal. That evening, we gathered beneath string lights and a clear night sky to enjoy it together.

Poolside Moments at This Italy Wedding Weekend Editorial
After an evening spent strolling through the vegetable garden and rolling homemade pasta, we made our way to the villa’s pool. From there, we overlooked the surrounding olive groves—the very groves that produced the olive oil we had tasted earlier.
Meanwhile, the Tuscan summer heat lingered in the air. As a result, the cool water felt especially refreshing and rejuvenating.

The Wedding
Villa Montecastello set the scene for an unforgettable getting-ready experience. The spacious guest suites included a bedroom, bathroom, living area, and full kitchen, which allowed everyone to settle in comfortably.
Meanwhile, local hair and makeup artist Giulia Petreni styled our model, Kelsey, with care and precision. At the same time, Barbara Becarelli, owner of Villa Montecastello, designed wedding florals using flowers sourced directly from the region.
Afterward, we explored the property from end to end. We used the lush green lawn for the ceremony setting. Then, we turned to the villa’s architecture for portraits. Finally, we framed the spanning vineyard views for an intimate tablescape.
A wedding dream? Absolutely.

Amalfi Coast Honeymoon | Italy Wedding Weekend Editorial
After immersing ourselves in a Tuscan dream, we packed our bags and boarded a train south. Soon, we arrived at the sparkling Amalfi Coast for the honeymoon of a lifetime.
None of Italy felt overrated. In fact, the Amalfi Coast exceeded every expectation. Towering rock cliffs and lush, climbing mountains rise dramatically from the deep blue sea. As a result, the entire coastline feels like another world.
Meanwhile, the fragrance of Amalfi lemons drifts through the air. Brightly colored umbrellas dot the rocky beaches. Overhead, gulls circle and call, adding to the coastal rhythm of the place.
To celebrate the honeymoon, we took a thrilling boat tour along the coast. Later, we rode Vespas along the winding hillside roads.
