If you can imagine the smell of freshly bloomed Gardenias, Spanish moss romantically swaying in the low hanging oak branches and lanterns twinkling from the salty breeze, you’ve imagined Montage Palmetto Bluff. If you can imagine a wedding weekend experience perfectly balanced between effortless and elegance, you’ve imagined Kelsey and Lawson’s wedding weekend at Montage Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina with all their closest family and friends.
Other than a brief virtual meeting a couple weeks before the wedding, we first met Kelsey and Lawson after arriving to the beautiful grounds of Montage. From the very first meeting, when Kelsey shared their story with us, we knew this was a particularly special couple with a special story. Though these two had virtually grown up together, they never considered taking their relationship to a deeper level; at least not until later in life, after life had thrown each of them a few curve balls. Kelsey, now with two precious boys, finally gave Lawson a chance. Not only did Lawson prove to love Kelsey well, but proved to love her boys just as much and just as well. This weekend truly wasn’t just celebrating the marriage of a couple, but the marriage of a family.
“Dinks on Us!” A Pickleball Wedding Weekend Kickoff
Kelsey and Lawson first greeted their guests with “dinks” at a posh pickleball tournament on the grounds of Montage Palmetto Bluff. From the colorful athleisure wear, to the refreshing cocktails, to the friendly smack talk, the first event of the wedding weekend was certainly a vibe.
Kind Words from Kelsey and Lawson
“From the minute that we started working with Cameron and Elizabeth Photography, our experience was nothing short of incredible. During our planning process, we really never were concerned too much with the little frivolous details of the wedding. What we wanted was to create an intimate gathering with our closest friends and family to share in our family becoming whole and we wanted our photo to reflect just that. Cameron completely captured our vision, and delivered photos that are not only beautiful, but also captured how we really felt in those moments. He was a pleasure to work with all week. He made us feel comfortable and confident and allowed us to be in the moment and enjoy our day. Truly, we cant say enough! Thank you Cameron for such a wonderful experience and the beautiful memories that we will cherish for a lifetime.”
“Down the Hatch!” A Welcome Party by the Bay
Is there a better way to arrive to your welcome party than by boat? We certainly don’t believe so! Kelsey and Lawson shared this special experience with Kelsey’s boys, and they’ll remember it forever. As they arrived to the dock, they had an entire party of guests waving them in, ready to hug their necks and honor them through heartfelt speeches.
Bridal Brunching and Golf for a “Party of Fore”
Kelsey and Lawson started their wedding day doing what they loved. Lawson woke up with the sun and headed to the Hilton Head National Golf Club with his groom’s party, while Kelsey began the day with her bridal party over brunch.
The Wedding Day
From the very beginning of their wedding planning, Kelsey and Lawson knew exactly the kind of wedding day they wanted: relaxed, refined, and effortless. And this is exactly the day they had.
